Australia Post accepts standard wine cardboard cartons for shipping within Australia. For volumes under 12, and for all international freight, wine must be packaged in styrofoam - suited to: 1, 2, 3, or 6 bottles. The most economical option is the dozen, packed in cardboard. Any breakages, we will replace.
Note: By agreeing to the 'terms of use' during account setup, you are confirming that you are over 18 years of age.
Packaging cost is included in the below rates. FYI: It breaks down as follows: 1btl = $5, 2btls = $7, 3btls = $8, 6btls = $2.5, 12btls (1 carton) = $2.5 for us - free for you.

People ask us why we produce such a large range of wines. Part of the answer is that since the 1978 we've been exploring the potential of grape varieties new to the Margaret River region. Reputedly, there are more than seven thousand varieties of grape vines found on Earth of which some 3000 can be found in Italy. We have two of those Italian varieties. The rest come from different parts of France, Portugal, Spain, central Europe and Madeira.
Is anyone brave enough to suggest that we already cultivate the grape varieties that will produce the most attractive wines in this part of the world and that we know all the secrets that will enable us to reach that objective? We think it unlikely.
Our wines are released under two labels: Happs and Three Hills.
Happs originated in our Dunsborough estate and utilizes fruit from both our Dunsborough and Three Hills Estate in Karridale.
The Three Hills label identifies the best wines from the best years from the Three Hills Estate: You know where these wines come from and you know what we think of them. We planted that vineyard on the basis of our grape growing and wine making experience between 1978 and 1994. At Three Hills all varieties will ripen between early March and late April and they do so in Autumn rather than high Summer. So, they ripen under the cooler, cloudier and humid conditions found on the south coast. Flavour and acidity is better conserved under cool humid ripening conditions.
On this site you will find much background information about the grape varieties we cultivate and the wines we make. Our wine prices are attractive and we like to keep them that way.
After enjoying our wines, we invite you to review them or send us a private message. We like feedback. With one of the most active cellar doors in the region we get plenty. But more is better.
Happs
'Happs' label wines include varietals and blends at a price that meets the expectation of the Australian consumer for everyday drinking. The label bears the family name. It isn't necessarily tied to a particular terroir although in practice grapes are primarily sourced from our Three Hills vineyard and secondly from our Dunsborough estate where the winery and cellar is located.
Great wines appear under the Happs label, the fruit will more than likely come from our Three Hills estate and the value is fantastic.
Fuchsia constitutes the most popular wine sold under the Happs label. It's a light pink wine made from red grape varieties that has a pronounced spritz. It is a unique style. We have recently released a white version and this has met with instant success. The sales of Fuchsia grow by virtue of customer insistence. Fuchsia has not yet crossed the Nullabor into South Australia but isolated centres of demand exist on the eastern seaboard, in the U.K., and in Japan. The wine is fruity, fresh and aromatic.
Under the Happs label we also present a varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Verdelho and blends of Semillon with Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot. Some of our wines are sold only at cellar door and online. Cellar door is our market research centre. These cellar door exclusives include some great sweet wines and some fortifieds.
One of the fastest growing lines in the Happs portfolio is the 'preservative free' wines PF Red and PF White. The preservative foregone in these wines is potassium metabisulphite. The technology that we use to avoid its use informs all our wine making. PF wines are not 'organic' wines even though our viticultural practices are consciously driven by the principles of organic and biodynamic soil management. But PF wines forgo completely the use of a substance that is a known allergen and to which many people, including the Happs founder Erl, are intolerant whereas 'Organic' wines can include this allergen.
Three Hills
The Three Hills whites are a varietal Chardonnay and Eva Marie, a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. These are wood fermented wines of rich flavour and entrancing complexity.
The flagship of the range is the varietal Shiraz. This is a full flavoured dry red with great warmth and generosity, complex aromatics and savoury flavours that are different to anything produced in any other part of the world. It's an original in every sense.
Charles Andreas is a Bordeaux blend based upon Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Each of these is also released as a single varietal under the Three Hills label. Charles Andreas is a product of the blender's art. This wine is a consistent winner of awards in wine shows.
Most years we also release a varietal Sangiovese and a Nebbiolo under the Three Hills label.
In France the most expensive Bordeaux reds are Merlot based. We release a varietal Merlot under the Three Hills label. This wine has been a trophy winner in local and national shows. This wine has voluptuous ripe flavours, a rare thing in Merlots from the New World.
Many tasters see a slight eucalyptus or peppermint flavour in the Three Hills reds. Cool ripening environments are redolent with aromatics from the local vegetation and the vine breathes these in. This is the aromatic that one experiences in a Eucalypt forest at night.
In The Three Hills reds the colours are red black, the tannins ripe, the mid palate generous and the finish velvet.
