Viticultural & vinification notes		Winemakers comments
Vintage conditions	Mild ripening temperatures after a moderate summer with vintage in March and April.	Colour Nose Palate	Similar to the garnet stone that has a red shade verging on orange. Intense Muscat character, reminding one of perfume and flowers, particularly roses but also musk stick and a hint of liqueur cherry. A wonderfully luscious sweet desert wine with intense flavours of liqueur cherry, toffee apple and confectionary. Rich, long and satisfying.
Vineyard	Dunsborough Hand pruned to rods Hand picked
Grape variety	Brown Muscat (Muscat a Petit Grains rouge)
Maturation	In Puncheons (500 litre barrels). Bottled after one year in oak and bottled under screw cap to retain its freshness.
Wine analysis	Alc/Vol: 15.5% Acidity: 4.1 g/l pH: 3.55 Residual xugar:170g/l

I absolutely love HAPPS Garnet. I love to share it with other friends who love fortified wine too. I gave a bottle to a good friend recently to thank
him for helping my husband and I with some work. Thinking he would know how to drink it I never gave him any tips... I Then saw him with a glass of it
a couple of days later..a very large red wine glass of it..... He was having trouble finishing the glass when I told him that I usually only have a
port glass size at a time. He thought that was a much better idea and has since told me he loves it too!I love to bring my friends to Happs for
tastings and they always find something they love. Thanks for the fantastic wines and even better service and atmosphere. we'll be back very soon...
